3 Years Old – Toddler Program
During the first three years of life, most children learn to walk, talk and relate to others. It is a period of rapid growth and development. Being new to the world, with increased mobility and the ability to explore, toddlers are eager and curious to learn as much as they can about it, and they use all of their senses to do so. They love to see, hear, smell, touch, and taste almost everything they find in their paths.
As the child turns three their verbal language becomes a powerful tool they use to express themselves. As their identity and independence develop they begin to question everything around them and are constantly asking, “why?” as they develop a better sense of time. Our teachers and staff support and welcome these differences to promote creativity, curiosity, confidence, independence, initiative and persistence as they carry out their intentions, solve problems, and engage in a variety of learning experiences.
We offer the enrollment of 3-year-olds through the Success by Six programs of the United Way of Northeast Florida which is operated in Jacksonville by ELC of Duval. Success By 6 offers 2-year scholarships to a 4 or 5-star center that has signed a contract to partner with the Success by 6 Program.
